Abdul Malik is the president and instructor at Ilmster Seminars. Having taken over 40 weekend degree seminars with Al-Maghrib and Al-Kauthar institutes, specialized Islamic semester courses from Mishkah University and Islamic Online University, and studying under several contemporary students of knowledge, he is actively involved in the field of Dawah. Over the past seven years, he has offered multiple Dawah Training and other Islamic classes covering Islamic theology and jurisprudence. He has also been counselling Muslims mainly with faith based issues for over three years. He is closely associated with Sh. Musleh Khan, and has permission to teach this and several other courses offerred by Ilmster Seminars.
Sh. Musleh Khan, born in Medina Saudi Arabia is currently serving as one of North America's youngest Imams at the renowned Sakinah Community Center in Toronto, Canada. He is also the host of Ask Musleh, which is a never ending online video series devoted to answering Islam's most frequently asked questions in a practical and simplified manner.
He has completed a decade of intensive studies at the University of Medina along side some of Islam's most prominent scholars. In 10 years, Sh Musleh has acquired a broad understanding of various Islamic sciences making him one of Toronto most active Islamic advisers.
He is well-known for his unique analysis of Quranic text along with his wisdom in simplifying some of Islam's most complicated matters.
Dr. Nazir Khan
Dr. Nazir Khan is a medical doctor by profession, currently specializing in Diagnostic Radiology. He finished memorizing the Holy Qur’an at an early age and went on to study the Islamic sciences, earning certification (ijazah) in Qur’an, Islamic theology and Hadith.
He is the founder and lead researcher of SpiritualPerception.org – a website dedicated to exploring contemporary questions of spirituality and science. He is currently a member of the Manitoba Fiqh committee, regularly delivers Friday and Eid sermons, and conducts various workshops and classes.
Imam Aarij Anwer was born in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to Toronto at the age of 13. He graduated from Waterloo with a Bachelor of Computer Science in 2008. After a brief stint in IT, he began full time religious education in 2009 by learning Arabic in Alexandria, Egypt under Sh Muhammad Helmi. In 2010, he completed memorizing the Qur’an. Thereafter, he enrolled at the Al-Madinah International University (Malaysia) online, obtaining a BA in Fiqh and Usul in 2014. He also completed a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto in 2014.
In the past, he has served as the Director of the Tahfiz program at AlHuda Institute Canada and as the K-12 Curriculum Lead at Bayyinah Institute. Under his watch, Arabic With Husna for Schools was launched in 2014 as a pilot and completed in May 2016.
Presently, he serves as an Imam and Khatib at Masjid Khalid Bin Al-Walid in Toronto. He is also an instructor at Bayyinah for the Access program. He lives in Toronto with his wife and three daughters.
Zohair Rahman has a Bachelors of Science with a Minor in Psychology from McMaster University, where he graduated with honours. Along side his secular education, he has studied the sacred sciences with various scholars, with a special interest in theology. He has earned an Ijaza in Aqeedah. His passion lies in bridging the gap between secular fields of study and Islam. He plans to publish various works on contemporary issues threatening our faith and identity as Muslims in the west. He is happily married and resides with his wife in Hamilton.
